Avnet ESP to Distribute Intransa Native IP SAN Solutions

SAN JOSE, Calif., July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Intransa, a leader in intelligent information storage, delivery and management over IP, today announced an agreement with Avnet Hall-Mark to distribute its native IP SAN solutions to customers across North America through Avnet's Enablement Services Partnership (ESP) program. This affiliation is in response to the growing demands for highly flexible and cost-effective storage solutions for mid-sized businesses, as well as the education and government market sectors.

Avnet ESP is designed to support ISVs like Intransa in building and delivering custom IBM (NYSE: IBM) solutions -- on demand. Avnet ESP provides a suite of services from solution integration to deployment for ISVs enabling them to focus on their core business. The program is offered by Avnet Hall- Mark's IBM Division, which is part of the Avnet Technology Solutions operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT). Avnet is one of the world's largest technology marketing and services companies, and is also a leading IBM global midrange distributor.

"This is another significant achievement in the execution of Intransa's global go-to-market channel strategy. We are excited about the opportunities that working with Avnet ESP bring to Intransa, and what we can deliver jointly to customers," said Ravi Pendekanti, Vice President Marketing, Intransa. "As a leading distributor for IBM, Avnet and their ESP program will make it far easier for business partners and customers looking to leverage IBM solutions to work with Intransa and build complete solutions utilizing native IP SAN solutions."

"Intransa is carving out a clear leadership role for IP SAN solutions and we look forward to working with them," said Scott Abbott, vice president, Business Development at Avnet Hall-Mark, IBM Division.

Intransa's IP SAN solutions provide a sophisticated software and hardware architecture that enables customers to easily consolidate, scale, and manage storage for high data volume applications such as Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server. As a "native" IP SAN solution, the IP500 is built from the ground up as a pure IP system. Therefore, data is able to move in IP format from the server to the controller to the disk, delivering powerful advantages over hybrid technology. Intransa's native IP SAN leverages network infrastructures that already exist in the enterprise or data center providing IT administrators with an attractive alternative to expensive Fibre Channel.
